Privacy Policy

We collect as little as possible, never ask for financial data, and use what we collect only to run a fair, free prize draw. Here's exactly how.

In one line: To run the draw we keep only your username, your entry screenshot, a timestamp (which sets your entry's date), and your winner / delivery status. We never ask for money, OTP, bank, card, UPI, Aadhaar, or your address. You can ask us to delete your data any time.

1. Who we are

Game Off Scrolls is a free daily rewards promotion operated by Digiaeon Services Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"), publishing as @GameOffScrolls. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect when you enter the Promotion and how we handle it. It should be read together with our Terms & Official Rules.

2. What we collect

We deliberately collect the minimum data needed to run a fair draw:

  • Your username / handle on the platform you enter from (Instagram, YouTube, etc.), and optionally your public profile link for verification.
  • The entry screenshot you send.
  • The Game ID your entry relates to (and the day's code, where one is used).
  • The timestamp your entry was received — this determines the calendar date your entry counts for.
  • Your self-declaration that you are 18+ and an India resident.
  • Your winner status and, if you win, your prize / delivery record.
  • If you win and a code cannot be delivered by DM, an email address — collected only from winners, only for delivery, and only after we explain why.
  • A PAN — only in the rare case a single prize exceeds ₹10,000 and tax law requires it. This does not apply at pilot prize values.

3. What we never collect or ask for

We will never ask for your password, OTP, bank account, UPI ID or PIN, debit/credit card number, CVV, Aadhaar, or your home / postal address. Prizes are digital — there is no reason for us to ever need these. Anyone asking for them in our name is impersonating us.

4. Why we collect it

We use your data only to:

  • Administer the Promotion and verify that entries are valid.
  • Prevent fraud, duplicate entries, and abuse.
  • Run the random draw and announce winners.
  • Deliver prizes to winners.
  • Meet any legal, tax, or record-keeping obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not profile you, and we do not sell it. We do not carry out behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at any user.

5. Legal basis & consent

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give by voluntarily entering the free Promotion for the purposes described above, and to comply with applicable law. Providing your data is voluntary; however, we cannot include you in the draw without the minimum entry data. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights), which will remove you from future draws.

6. Age & minors

The Promotion is for adults only. Under the DPDP Act, anyone under 18 is a "child", and processing a child's data requires verifiable parental consent, which we cannot obtain at entry. Therefore we do not knowingly collect or process the personal data of anyone under 18. If we become aware that an entrant or winner is a minor, we will disqualify the entry and delete their data promptly, and will not collect anything further from them.

7. Sharing & third parties

We keep your data private and do not sell or rent it. Limited sharing happens only where necessary:

  • Social platforms (Instagram/Meta, YouTube/Google): you interact with us through them, so their own privacy policies also apply to your use of those platforms. We are not responsible for their processing.
  • Gift-card / coupon issuers: to deliver a prize we may use an authorised gift-card provider. We share only what is needed to deliver your reward.
  • Service providers that help us run the draw (e.g. a form or spreadsheet tool), bound to use the data only for that purpose.
  • Legal / tax authorities: where we are legally required to disclose.

8. How long we keep it

  • Non-winning entries: deleted approximately 30 days after the relevant cycle.
  • Winner & delivery records: kept up to approximately 90 days, or longer where legally or financially required (e.g. tax records).
  • We delete or anonymise data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.

9. Security

We apply reasonable security measures to protect your data, including restricting access to entry and winner records, keeping prize codes in a restricted store, and blurring codes in any public proof. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep collection minimal precisely to reduce risk.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or update inaccurate data.
  • Erase your data — simply send us a Direct Message saying "DELETE DATA", or email us (below).
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our grievance contact and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Cookies & this website

This website (gameoffscrolls.com) is an information site. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not build a profile of you. It loads a web font from Google Fonts to render its design; your browser contacts that service to fetch the font. We do not place third-party advertising trackers on this site. The actual Promotion runs on Instagram and YouTube, where those platforms' own policies apply.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on this page, with the "last updated" date above, is the one that applies. Material changes will be reflected here.

This Privacy Policy is provided in good faith and is not legal advice. The Promoter should have it reviewed by a licensed Indian lawyer before launch and before collecting any data beyond the minimum described here.
